Horizon Cyprus test of vocational interests

Horizon Cyprus vocational interests test is a broad psychometric tool, which has been designed to measure the vocational interests of Cypriot students. The Horizon Cyprus test was designed in the Greek language and was originally based on Cyprus’ educational system.

The test consists of 190 questions which describe a broad number of vocational activities. The student has to rate on a 6 degrees rating scale, the degree to which s/he would be interested in a future professional involvement with each of the activities.

The results are extracted immediately and give the profile of vocational interest of the student and suggests specific academic faculties (that are in consistence with the student’s personality and are included in the computerized application).

It takes about 25 to 30 minutes for a student to complete the test.

It evaluates / measures 38 vocational categories, which are thoroughly descripted in small paragraphs in order to be easily understandable by students, parents and teachers.

The results are immediately extracted and give the profile of the students’ vocational interests, suggesting to them specific university faculties (ranked according to their proximity to the students’ interests, from the most proximate to the most distant).

Vocational interests of each student are correlated to the faculties of the universities in Cyprus, Greece and for studies abroad.
